Philhealth Corporation announced that they are postponing the increase in premium contribution for their overseas Filipino worker (OFW)-members. According to PhilHealth’s Executive Officer, Eduardo Banzon, the agency decided to defer the planned implementation because of the current global economic crisis that led to the repatriation of many OFWs.

The Singapore government recently announced that by next year, they will implement a new law that will give all foreign maids in their country a mandatory rest day per week.
